More from the Maasai Mara

This won’t be the last post covering the sights we took in while on safari before leaving Kenya simply because we saw so many incredible creatures!

Sam loved the drives out to see the animals.

Warthogs will forever make me think of Lion King. Did you know the warthog’s name in that movie is actually the Swahili word for warthog? Pumba! These guys run all over, usually with their tales sticking straight up in the air, which makes them possible to spot in the long grass. They kneel down on their knees to more easily eat the grass.

The wild wildebeest. The photo actually makes this guy look better than in real life. Not pretty creatures, in my opinion.

This little one was full-grown at only about 18 inches tall. Like a tiny deer.

These male and female ostriches were a fun sight to see walking across the plain.

I still have photos of the lions, leopards, and rhinos. I’ll try to get them posted soon!
